Widcombe is southeast of the city centre and may look quite remote, but it actually sits nicely between the city and the University of Bath campus. There are regular bus services to campus and the town centre and some lovely views of the city.

Technically a village just to the south of Bath, Combe down is still very accessible and even walkable from the city centre. The University of Bath is close enough, there are a handful of useful amenities and you are literally minutes from the fantastic Somerset countryside.

Oldfield Park

Oldfield Park has a number of residential roads offering a range of student housing as well as the amenities of Moorland Road. It’s also only a few miles from the campus of the University of Bath and the Oldfield Park train station gives easy access to Bath Spa station and Bristol.

Twerton

Just further west of Oldfield Park is the area of Twerton. Situated right by the river and is an area that has seen a fair bit of regeneration over recent years. A popular area for private student halls with a number of shops in the area and easy access to the city centre. Twerton is also the home of the city’s football team, Bath City Football Club.

Bathwick

Just across the river from the city centre Bathwick offers great access to the city with great amenities and is home to the quaint Henrietta Park and Sydney gardens as well as the Bath Canal.

Odd Down

Despite being much further south of the city centre the area is actually well served with a number of supermarkets and shops at hand. It is also the home of the Odd Down Sports Ground where the Bath Lacrosse team plays, among others.
