The city of Chester is a historic walled city in the North west of England. Right on the border of Wales and only a few miles from Liverpool, Chester is home to the University of Chester and has a student population of over 15,000. Originally founded as a roman fort settlement, Chester is one of the best preserved walled cities in the UK and as such has a vast range of fascinating historical landmarks and architecture on display.

The city is also home to the famous Chester Zoo, which is one of the UK’s largest Zoos and has been in operation since 1931.

Close to the main station is the popular area of Hoole. Filled with a number of indie businesses and offering a great range of outside and community spaces, Hoole remains a popular and pleasant place to call home. Hoole offers easy access to the town centre as well as a good selection of amenities.
Unsurprisingly one of the more vibrant and fast paced areas to live. Perfect for enjoying all that Chester has to offer, from it’s student nightlife, to it’s impressive architecture. The perfect student area for those looking for a bit more action while still having easy access to the university. Great for those who want to be close to the horse racing too.
Newton offers a good mix of student and professional living. As such the house share market is popular here as well as more bespoke flats and larger purpose built properties. Newton offers easy access to the motorway which may appeal to those with a car. Generally within walking distance of the Parkgate campus, Newton offers a good all round option.
Just around the corner from the Parkgate campus is Parkgate Road. Known for being a little more pricey than some other areas, Parkgate offers a generous helping of bustling nightlife and vibrant culture
