Studying at City, University of London? We have hundreds of rooms reserved exclusively for you. They come with a study desk, comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. You’ll also have access to a fully-fitted kitchen, bathroom and living space that you’ll share with your flatmates. Don’t fancy sharing? Our studios are open to all students, allowing you to enjoy the independence of a bathroom and kitchen all to yourself.

From Romano Court, you can walk to City, University of London in just 10 minutes, while the University of London and the London School of Economics and Political Science are less than 25 minutes away. Meanwhile, nearby Farringdon station gives you easy access to everything else the city has to offer.

Within walking distance, you’ll find a gym (which is included in your rent), and a number of bars and restaurants. For more choice, take a 30-minute walk to the diverse, vibrant neighbourhood of Shoreditch. Want something a little slower paced? The impressive St Paul’s Cathedral is just 15 minutes away by foot.

Our student accommodation is perfectly located so that you can experience the best entertainment and nightlife in the centre of London. There are many pre-club pubs and bars which can be enjoyed in the area, including The Three Kings of Clerkenwell, Bleeding Heart Tavern and Zetter Town House.

The surrounding area of the accommodation has an array of exciting restaurants all within walking distance for your convenience. Restaurants local to Romano Court include Burger and Lobster, Pizza Express, Ask and Foxlow; ran by the famous Will Beckett and Huw Gott. 

Shoreditch is a 6 minute tube ride away, accessed on the Circle line, and has an array of eateries and entertainment. There are a range of bars, restaurants, takeaways and nightclubs. Camden Town and Lock is also close by; it’s famous for its authentic food market stalls and nightlife, with great venues such as KOKO, Underworld and the Roundhouse

Islington is just a 20 minute walk away or one stop away by tube via the Northern Line. The area has a selection of entertainment to choose from, with some of the best bars and pubs in London. Live music venue, the O2 Academy can be found there along with The Garage and Union Chapel

is a performing arts centre and hosts classical and contemporary music concerts, theatre performances and art exhibitions and is just a 20 minute walk from the residence. Tower Bridge is only 10 minutes away via tube and offers spectacular views, with modern exhibitions and a chance to see the Victorian Engine Rooms.

St Bartholomew the Great
is a historic Church founded all the way back in 1123, and is the oldest Parish Church in London – it’s only a few minutes’ walk from Romano Court. Additionally, St John’s Gate on John’s Lane is a few minutes away so it’s worth checking out.

Exmouth Market
in Farringdon is loaded with restaurants and bars and it’s very pretty. It’s definitely a must visit with it being only a 10 minute walk from the accommodation – you really shouldn’t miss out.

There are plenty of open spaces and parks local to Romano Court, so you can relax outside of lectures. Lincoln’s Inn Fields and Gray’s Inn Fields are just a small distance from the property; additionally Regent’s Park is 10 minutes away by tube where there are lots of sporting activities going on.

Staying Active
Romano Court benefits from having access to Liberty House’s gym located on St John Street just a few minutes’ walk from the residence. The gym is available for students to use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Regent’s Park is an enjoyable 45 minute walk away from the residence; the park has the biggest outdoor sports area in London. There are regular organised sports activities held here including; football, rugby, running clubs, and netball.

For professional sport, Arsenal Football Club and the Emirates Stadium can be reached by road in 17 minutes or in just 15 minutes on the tube from Farringdon Station. 

Travel and Transport
Romano Court is in a great location and is close to Farringdon tube station, just a 5 minute walk away.  The station provides direct access to other rail station including Paddington, King’s Cross St Pancras, Liverpool Street and Aldgate. King’s Cross St Pancras offers a quick trip to Europe on the Eurostar, whilst the underground from Farringdon provides links for the Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City Lines. 

There are also great bus links to the city which are close to the residence. Useful bus routes include:
  • Bus Routes 55 Leyton to Oxford Street (via Old Street)
  • Bus Route 243 Wood Green to Waterloo (via Old Street)

Islington High Street is located a few minutes from the accommodation and offers a range of local amenities for students, with various banks, a Boot’s chemist, a dry cleaner’s, hairdresser’s, a local market, shoe repair and key cutting services. You’ve basically got everything you need.

Your Wellbeing
All local universities offer support to their students with any health, welfare and financial issues. The area around the accommodation has two doctor’s surgeries; Clerkenwell Medical Practice on Pine Street and Ritchie Street Group Practice on Ritchie Street in Islington.    

In case of an emergency Romano Court is close to two hospitals; Bart’s Hospital in West Smithfield and University College Hospital on Euston Road.  Additionally there is a Boot’s chemist on Islington high street; a few minutes’ walk from the accommodation. 

The team at Romano Court can offer advice on local doctor and dentist surgeries upon arrival, as well as advise you on any issues you might be experiencing. London is a big city, but you’ll never feel alone!
